The decision to put in a pool is a big one.
On the one hand you're building a rec room in your back yard, a place to escape the pressures of the everyday world. On the other hand, it took at least seven days to create Eden. Building an inground pool is a major project, and it involves a lot of decision making. So, if you'll pardon the pun, let's dig right in.
What Are the Costs?
There's a quality, uniquely designed, in-ground pool for nearly any budget. Still, pool prices vary widely according to size, style and options like coping, decking, steps or fencing. We can't quote a price here, but before you choose your pool builder, we suggest you take a look at the recommendations from Pool and Spa News.
Of course, some build cheaper pools, some build more expensive pools--but no one designs and builds a BETTER, more aesthetically pleasing pool than Chaffee's!!!
What's more, we stand by our product: you could search high and low and still not find a dissatisfied Chaffee customer. We know you work hard for your money--we do too. Bottom line: WE OFFER VALUE FOR MONEY!
How Long Will My Pool Last?
One of our first steel wall pools built in 1967 is still being enjoyed today! Today's steel walls are still the strongest on the market--bar none--and they're guaranteed for life!!!
Steel wall pools, like our Sterling™ line, also lead the way in terms of design flexibility--the more customized and intricate the design, the more likely you'll need steel. In short, no other material can match the strength, durability, design flexibility or value of a steel wall pool.
Of course, we also build many polymer pools--but beware, only top-of-the-line polymer pools, like our Elite™ line, carry warranties comparable to steel. Moreover, we always ask: why pay more for less?
How Difficult are Pools to Maintain?
With today's liners and filtration systems, pool maintenance is a breeze. Plus, if you desire a totally relaxed pool experience--talk to us about our weekly cleaning service!
How long is the swimming season?
An average swimming pool season in our area runs from May to Septemebr, however with the addition of a heating system you can extend your swim season to April through October/November.
What Happens If We Hit Rock?
No Problem!!! We hit rocks all the time--Harold and Charlie LOVE a good challenge!!!
What About Water Problems--My Yard is Wet?
Again, no problem--we'll install a simple drainage system. In fact, because our vermiculite bases are porous, they "absorb" water instead of "floating" or "cracking" (so they're actually just what the doctor ordered).
